New Online Open Lab: “Exploring Predictive Lifestyle Factors in IBD Care”

“Exploring Health Engagement in IBD Care”: New miGut-Health Online Open Lab:

The miGut-Health project, in collaboration with IFCCA, is hosting an Online Open Lab on 26 January 2026, from 16:30 to 18:00 CET. The event will be held fully online and is open to people living with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and their families.

This interactive session will explore current realities in health engagement in IBD care. Participants will:

  • Hear preliminary results from the Dutch cohort of the survey “Stress, Eating Habits, and IBD”, presented by Prof. Guendalina Graffigna (Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore) and Dilara Cengiz (EngageMinds HUB).

  • Take part in a collaborative workshop to strengthen shared understanding between stakeholders.

  • Discover the ENGAGE-IBD Guide, a co-created resource developed with patients and healthcare professionals.

  • Learn about predictive lifestyle factors in IBD care from Prof. Maya Schroevers (University of Groningen), highlighting the value of lived experience in personalised care.

The Open Lab will focus on ways to live well with Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative Colitis through active engagement, dialogue, and shared experiences. Participants will gain insights into taking a more active role in their care, improving communication with healthcare professionals, and contributing to the co-creation of practical solutions that support a more manageable and fulfilling life with IBD.
