Health Engagement Open Lab in Vilnius
The Health Engagement Open Lab will take place on 1 December 2026 at the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences in Vilnius, Lithuania. Organised as part of the EU-funded miGut-Health project, in collaboration with the International Federation of Crohn’s and Colitis Associations (IFCCA), the event will focus on how people living with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), including Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative Colitis, can be better supported in managing their health and well-being.
Prof. Guendalina Graffigna, from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Italy, will present findings from a survey among people living with IBD in Lithuania. Exploring the relationship between stress, eating habits, and IBD, the presentation will offer insights into patients’ experiences and the challenges they face in their daily lives.
A key highlight will be the presentation of the ENGAGE-IBD Personalised Health Engagement Guide, co-created by IFCCA, miGut-Health, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, and EngageMinds HUB. The Guide offers practical, patient-centred support to help people living with IBD take a more active role in managing their health and make informed decisions about their well-being. It will be presented by Prof. Guendalina Graffigna and Salvatore Leone, Chairperson of IFCCA.
The event will open with welcoming remarks from Prof. Limas Kupčinskas of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences and conclude with a Q&A session, giving participants the opportunity to share questions, experiences, and perspectives.
