DIVA report: IBD and Suicide

We are pleased to share a new report highlighting the hidden mental health burden in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).

Using DIVA – Data Insights for Added Therapeutic VAlue, IFCCA’s innovative evidence-based tool, the report shows that people living with IBD face a higher risk of suicidal thoughts and behaviours than the general population.

These findings emphasise the urgent need to integrate mental health support into routine IBD care, ensuring that psychological well-being is considered alongside physical health.

At IFCCA, we are committed to supporting patients, healthcare professionals, and policymakers with insights that improve care and quality of life for people with IBD.
