Open Lab: Living with IBD: Understanding How Nutrition and Psychology Interact
Join us on 27 April 2026 (16:30–18:00 CET) for an Online Open Lab organised by IFCCA in collaboration with the EU-funded miGut-Health project.
This session will explore the Relation Between Nutrition and Psychology in IBD. Bringing together people living with IBD, families, researchers, and healthcare professionals, the Open Lab aims to foster dialogue, share perspectives, and strengthen patient-centred approaches to care.
The programme features leading experts and researchers, including:
Christina Mastori, Clinical Dietitian-Nutritionist, PhD Candidate, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece
Dr. Dilara Usta, Researcher, Greek Cohort Study “Stress, Eating Habits, and IBD” – presenting preliminary survey results
Professor Guendalina Graffigna, Professor of Psychology, Catholic University of Milan – introducing the ENGAGE-IBD Guide and its approach to strengthening health engagement in IBD care
The session will also include an interactive workshop, inviting participants to exchange experiences and explore practical ways to enhance engagement and personalised care in Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative Colitis.
