New webinar: “From Clinical Trials to Real Impact: The Future of Fibrosis Care”

From Clinical Trials to Real Impact: The Future of Fibrosis Care

Join us on 2 April 2026 (18:00–19:00 CET) for an online webinar organised by IFCCA in collaboration with the FIBROTARGET EU Horizon Europe project.

This session will focus on fibrosis, a common but often overlooked complication of IBD, exploring its impact on patients’ quality of life and the latest advances in clinical research. Bringing together patients, families, researchers, and healthcare professionals, the webinar aims to foster dialogue, share perspectives, and strengthen patient-centred approaches in fibrosis care.

The programme features leading experts and patient representatives, including:

  • Prof. Bram Verstockt (KU Leuven) – updates on fibrosis clinical research

  • Prof. Alessandro Armuzzi (Humanitas University) – patient-centred trial design

  • Anastasia Ntanou (HELLESCC) – expert insights

  • Tim Van Kaem (AGOMAB) – industry perspective

  • Vaso Vakouftsi and Roberto Saldaña (IFCCA) – the role of patient engagement

The discussion will also explore what “success” means in fibrosis research, and how imaging techniques such as MRI and ultrasound are improving fibrosis assessment. Participants will be invited to actively share their experiences and questions.
