IFCCA Conference at ECCO Congress 2026 in Stockholm
On 19 February 2026, at the 21st ECCO Congress in Stockholm, IFCCA hosted its conference: "HTA Regulation: Unlocking Access to Novel Drugs Through Patient Data."
During the session, we explored the crucial role of patient insights in Health Technology Assessment (HTA) and how tools like DIVA are helping to shape access to innovative therapies for people living with IBD. The conference highlighted the importance of integrating patient perspectives into decision-making processes that impact treatment access and healthcare policy.
We were honoured to welcome distinguished speakers, including Prof. Fernando Magro (ECCO President), Dr. Sharma Tarang, (Technical Officer – Novel Medicines Platform & HTA, Access to Medicines and Health Products, Division of Country Health Policies and Systems, WHO Regional Office for Europe), Luisa Avedano (IFCCA CEO), and Roberto Saldaña (IFCCA Patient Engagement and Innovation Coordinator). Their expertise and perspectives enriched our discussions and underscored the value of multidisciplinary collaboration in advancing patient-centred care.
