World IBD Day 2026 Roundtable and Asia-Pacific Networking Meeting

As part of World IBD Day 2026, IFCCA, in collaboration with the Crohn's & Colitis Society of Singapore (CCSS), brought together patient organisations, healthcare professionals and international partners in Singapore to address one of the key challenges facing people living with IBD worldwide: ensuring equitable access to quality care.

The International World IBD Day Roundtable and Asia-Pacific Networking Meeting created a space for patient organisations from across the region and beyond to share experiences, identify common challenges and discuss priorities for improving IBD care. Discussions highlighted key areas including timely diagnosis, access to treatment, reducing stigma, supporting mental health, strengthening patient engagement and improving quality of care.

The outcomes of the meeting contribute to IFCCA’s ongoing advocacy efforts to amplify the patient voice, promote meaningful involvement of people living with IBD and support global collaboration towards more equitable healthcare systems. The insights gathered will also contribute to the development of the Global IBD Patient Charter, a patient-led initiative to define shared principles for quality IBD care while recognising different regional healthcare realities.
