ENGAGE-IBD Personalised Health Engagement Guide

We are proud to share the ENGAGE-IBD Personalised Health Engagement Guide, a new resource developed within the EU-funded miGut-Health project in collaboration with patients, clinicians, and engagement experts.

The guide provides clear and practical information for people living with Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative Colitis, helping them understand how symptoms can fluctuate and why early treatment and regular monitoring are essential.

It introduces the ENGAGE-IBD framework, designed to support better understanding of the condition, navigation of healthcare systems, recognition of symptom patterns, and adherence to treatment. The guide also addresses emotional well-being, offers considerations for a personalised and balanced diet, and highlights the importance of support networks.

Importantly, it explores goal-setting as a tool for effective disease management, empowering patients to take an active role in their health both daily and over the long term.

Grounded in real experiences and patient-centred insights, the ENGAGE-IBD guide is a practical resource for the IBD community, offering tools to enhance self-management and improve quality of life.
