The October Issue of IFCCA Magazine Is Here!
The October 2026 issue of IFCCA Magazine is now available, bringing together the people, experiences and ideas shaping the IBD community around the world.
This edition reflects a year of growth and stronger international connections for IFCCA. We look back at our General Assembly in Brussels, the expansion of our global network, and World IBD Day 2026, including the conversations on access to IBD care that brought patient organisations and experts together in Singapore.
We also speak with Dr Elise Schoefs from KU Leuven about IFCCA’s global patient preference study, involving 1,452 people from 40 countries, what the research tells us about what matters to people with IBD when choosing treatments, and the importance of bringing patient preferences into decision-making.
On the cover, professional tennis player Alexandre Müller shares his experience of living with Crohn’s disease, from being diagnosed as a teenager to competing at the highest level, and reflects on acceptance, resilience and continuing to pursue his dreams.
Across the issue, you’ll also discover stories and initiatives from our member associations, updates from IFCCA’s research projects, personal experiences of living with IBD and our Medical Review Corner.
A big thank you to everyone who contributed to this edition and helped us bring together so many different perspectives from across our community.
We hope you enjoy reading it!
