The lexicon explains key endoscopy terms in a clear and practical way for people living with Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative Colitis, helping to improve understanding of the role of endoscopy in diagnosis, treatment, and long-term disease management.
It follows the patient journey—from preparation to results and follow-up care—and includes accessible definitions, suggested questions for healthcare professionals, and visual tools to support understanding.
It aims to reduce confusion around medical language, address misconceptions, and strengthen communication between patients and healthcare teams, supporting more informed and confident participation in care decisions.
